What is he up to?

Axel has joined together with a group of children's illustrators from Germany, France and Britain to create an exhibition of original illustrations on the theme of Europe. Don't miss the chance to see this display of illustration collaboration at the RWA, Bristol's oldest art gallery.

This is a passionate and heartfelt exploration of Europe and what it means to many of the people who live and work within its borders. From Brexit bees to wall-jumping bulls, Drawing Europe Together is a unique portrayal of the European community . . . with or without Britain.

Quentin Blake, Oliver Jeffers, Tor Freeman, Lydia Monks and Emily Gravett are just a few of the British illustrators who are taking part.
