I find it quite hard to do stories set in the real world (which then never looks like the real world anyway.) I wanted the story to take place in London - but the editor wanted it to be set in Coedition- nowhere land, but that is impossible anyway. The cats on the cover are absurdly big - nobody minded, but I had drawn teeth (of course!) and they were sadly removed. I think Prunella and Pat were meant to be man and woman - but in my head they were two women living together.
